We are so grateful for our partners in this project at the Pilot Point Community Library and the UNT Libraries Digital Newspaper Program!

We're pleased to announce that Pilot Point Community Library has received a $20,000 grant from the Ladd and Katherine Hancher Library Foundation to digitize our collection of historic local newspapers! This project will fund the digitization of around 50 years worth of Post-Signal issues that have been stored in our Genealogy room for decades. Issues will be uploaded to the Portal to Texas History, a free, searchable database that is accessible to everyone!

We are so excited to preserve and highlight Pilot Point's history in this way. More details will be shared in the upcoming months as the project progresses.

📢EVENT UPDATE📢

It looks like the forecast has a few tricks up there sleeve!🌧️ Keeping our citizens' safety in mind, we have made the decision to RELOCATE the event to Veterans Memorial Park New Parking Lot (near 305 Plum St.) and our Fire Station #1 Bay (200 Sycamore St.).

We will have a trunk or treat for the kids from 5:30 - 6:30PM🍬, Delicious Food Truck options🍕, and a SPOOKY movie in the Fire Station #1 Bay (Hocus Pocus) starting at 6PM!!🪄

Unfortunately, with the move, we won’t be able to host the haunted maze or haunted hayride this year.

We still can't wait to see those awesome costumes for the trunk-or-treat and have you join us for a fun movie night!! The ambiance will be just right for Hocus Pocus!🧹

Any future Weather updates will be posted as soon as available!
