The Exchange is published weekly in print and updated online daily. The Exchange is owned by Main Street Media of Tennessee, a company that publishes newspaper, websites, social media pages and magazines throughout middle Tennessee. The paper started as the I-24 Exchange in June 2000, by Dale McCarver in Pleasant View. McCarver took over operation and editing duties in September 2000 and owned the paper until August 2017.
