Justin Neal is a DJ, producer and prolific Twitch streamer with roots in the infamous 1990s Midwest rave scene. Now based in Portland, OR, Justin’s releases on SubSensory and Detroit’s Bang Tech 12 have propelled his music to new heights. His 2024 “Clap Your Hands” EP garnered over 26K plays on Apple Music and support from the likes of Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier. His summer 2025 EP, “Tired of It,” was charted by Perc and saw plays on dancefloors and radio shows across the globe.
The Refractions EP explores a modern approach to dub- and Detroit-styled techno, featuring four timeless tracks that range from the 140 BPM chord-laden funker, “Refractions,” to the 126 BPM dub techno groove of “Hollowed.”
On remix duty, UK producer Sergio Vilas returns to SubSensory with the funky techno sound that earned his past releases countless plays by the legendary DJ Carl Cox, along with many others. His remix is reminiscent of classic techno labels like Jericho and Intec.
