A few storms are headed our direction. The NOAA transmitter in Hannibal is out, so weather radios are not functioning. FM Radio, internet, and media are the methods you can use in the mean time.

A few tips to remember in case our severe weather threat materializes tonight and tomorrow:

1. Weather radios should be turned on and properly programmed.
2. If you don’t have a basement know where you are going in the event a tornado occurs.
3. Be prepared for high winds and power outages.
4. Teach small children how to react to storms before they happen, not while they are occuring.
5. Plan for how you will take care of your pets.
6. Don’t wait until the last second to take cover.
