Massive tech problems with the broadcast of Exeter Football v Daniel Boone last night on The Exeter Sports Network, in the form of near constant interruptions and freezing of the video. The audio was not affected, nor was the playing of commercials and other prerecorded material, so we know that the issue was not the output of the signal. The issue is with the wireless transmitters we use from the cameras. So we put the techies to work on the solution, and we believe they have found it. Instead of having wireless transmitters, we'll now be running Cat6 cable to push the signal to our switchers, providing what SHOULD be seamless video transmission. It will mean a bit more work running 50 to 75 feet of cable, but will provide the video we promise.
Our apologies to Exeter for the snafus last night. Our viewers and sponsors deserve the best, and will get it.
The next game on ESN will be in two weeks, against Pleasant Valley. Tune in for the better viewing experience.
