Contractor adding rocks to concrete? I hired a guy to put a simple post and wire fence around my property. He has finished most of the fence posts, but I couldn’t help but notice something odd he did with the concrete. He is using Quickrete, and he bought a ton of it. Yet he is mixing every posthole with added rocks? Is this standard or is this guy botching the job? Thanks in advance!

Is this normal?😕 My husband is patching a hole on the ceiling, the mud was watered down with soap in it. I told him we should get new mud. He refused. I told him we should probably get wood to go across the hole so the dry wall would stay up. He refused. He’s fussing at me now because I’m pulling this down.
It’s sagging where that lump is, and that’s why I’m taking it down. He said it needed another coat of mud and that’s the only thing wrong with that I see here?

Should my builder fix this? Building a custom home with a local builder in Maryland. The foundation pour has some honeycombing. Builder hasn’t patched, as it’s all below grade. Am I nitpicking? Workmanship issue? Appreciate any wisdom from the hive mind (regrettable honeycombing pun).

My contractor is about to tile my shower and told me the door frame is not level. If he makes the edge of the tile perfectly vertical there is a 2” gap from the door frame at the bottom and a 1.5” gap at the top. He says I would need to reframe to door to fix it. That seems reasonable but wanted to see if anyone has different thought.
