I’ll start off by saying I’ve neglected my lawn for far too long. Life being just with a house of kids takes its toll of me. This year I decided to take my lawn back after having it decimated by drought and dallis grass. Started off by nuking my front lawn with round up to start fresh. Aerated the hell out of it to break up the soil, top soil to level low points, new seed, and starter fertilizer. So far it’s coming in pretty well.
Being that I make liquid fertilizer for a living, I should have one of the nicest yards in the neighborhood but I don’t! Ready to change that!

I’m a newby to this so reading your posts and comments have helped me so far. Thankfully I have a team of turf salesman that are very knowledgeable and helpful as well.

I don't think it's fungus. I think it's crane fly larvae (leather jackets). the adults are everywhere and the birds have need foraging a lot more in the last few weeks.
Now, how do I control it?
I have Indiana clay and poor drainage. Little I can do about that now, besides dialing back on water.
but I need to stop this lawn damage before it gets worse. So I'm looking for both fast acting and long-term control.
suggestions for products?

Alright so sadly during our overseeding project we had some roof work done halfway through the grass growing and maturing and had to let our dogs out the front door instead of the back door temporarily.
Well, the dog urine torched these spots in the new grass. I did go through and water them really well, used a garden weasel to rough up the soil and put new seed down hoping I could get it growing in time since it was mid September but as you can see some spots germinated but it's not growing well and other spots just never germinated.
So my question is, will the snow over winter hopefully be enough to kind of flush these areas so I can seed in the spring? Anything I can do, or a product I can use to flush these areas better?

Our 19 year old daughter is attending our local community college. She’s living with us to save money and she works 4 nights a week as a waitress to help with her school costs. She came home from work in tears last night, saying she was going to quit her job and drop out of community college and that she’s lost all faith in humanity. We asked what happened and she showed us this receipt. Folks, it’s one thing to stiff your server, but to be flat out mean to a young person simply trying to make their way through the world is uncalled for! If you’re not willing to tip at least 30% every time you eat out, stay home! These servers are all someone’s children or parents! I said what I said!
