We celebrate Joe Merullo for his musicianship and his friendship. Joe played bass on the 2007 Bob Nesom album 𝘔𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦, which was the inspiration for the HomeTown Rocks exhibit located at the Revere History Museum.

Most impressive that this band continues to release albums and schedule concerts after all these years. They are doing something right. Hats off from HomeTown Rocks Revere to MASS. Thank you, Joey, for the great selection of band memorabilia that we now feature at our exhibit at the Revere History Museum.

Rock & Roll with an edge is how we'd like to describe Mr. Frank Dimino's career as a lead vocalist for over 50 years. In addition to being a long time member of the group Angel, Frank's singing voice is featured on his song "Seduce Me Tonight" which appears on the 1983 hit movie 𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 soundtrack. We are just about sold out of tickets for the Decades of Rock fundraiser! If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, do so now! You may contact the Revere History Museum. Once again, the event will feature the Decades of Rock band as well as some guest performers from HomeTown Rocks. Besides the concert there will be dancing, a Chinese Food Buffet, dessert, cash bar provided by the VFW, and raffles. All proceeds after expenses will benefit the Revere History Museum.

Lee Leffler's history as a guitarist and song writer goes back over 50 years, starting while at Revere's Garfield School and hasn't skipped a beat since. Lee and his bandmates throughout those years are featured at the HomeTown Rocks exhibit. Come for visit and learn more. We at HomeTown Rocks are saddened to hear of the passing of Revere's own Frederick Anthony Picariello, Jr., known professionally as pop star Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon.
Born: Dec 4, 1936 Died: July 17, 2026 (89 years)
Freddy sang on tons of national hit records and appeared numerous times on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. He is prominently featured at our exhibit.
We'd like to say that we got to know him a little bit over the last year and a half through our Revere rock and roll history research.
Rest in Peace Freddy.

A very popular Revere rock'n'roller, Vernon West, made a lot of people happy with his and brother Dana's plethora of songs written over five decades. Come find out more about Vernon at the HomeTown Rocks museum exhibit and view many classic photos of his bands, Sass and West and their achievements. Revere's Mr. Steve Riley attained national and international success in the rock and metal music genres during the 1970s into the 2000s. After a most impressive career behind the the drum kit, in 2023 Steve sadly passed away at the age of 67 after a severe case of pneumonia.
