Summer fishing on Lake Chesdin is heating up! We had a fantastic trip recently helping Jeff, James, and Josh fill the cooler with a mix of quality crappie, white perch, and more. Trolling crankbaits in 8–14 feet of water was the key to success.

Two days of wet wading, and the river was on fire! 🔥🎣

Day 1: A quick 2-hour session yielded 10 smallmouth, including 3 decent-sized chunks.

Day 2: We downsized to inline spinners and absolutely tore them up. Between the 3 of us, we landed 50+ fish in 4 hours—a wild multi-species mix of smallmouth bass, sunfish, and suckers!
Nothing beats an active summer river bite.

🏆 THREE-PEAT! 🏆 We back up the 2023 and 2024 titles with another win at the Riverrock “Monsters of the James” kayak catfishing tournament! 🥇🥇🥇 Huge thanks to the for putting on an awesome event.
Massive shoutout to my partner Hunter, who absolutely carried the weight today with our three longest fish at 31, 32, and 33 inches. That cumulative depth was just enough to keep the winning streak alive by a razor-thin 1-inch margin! 🤯📏
Shoutout to all the hammers who competed, especially Team “Church Hill”—you guys always bring the heat and make us work for every single inch! 🙌
