𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀💔
South Effingham’s nine-game winning streak — its longest in 10 seasons — came to an end Friday night with a 40 – 33 loss to Burke County.
The Bears closed the game on an 18 – 4 run, rallying from a seven-point fourth-quarter deficit to pull out the win.
⭐ Kailyn Chapman led the Mustangs with 12 points, and Hayden Johanson added 11 in the hard-fought battle.
Heads up — this team has plenty to be proud of. 💪💙

South Effingham pulled out a thrilling 94 – 85 win over Burke County on Friday night!
💥 Warren Roundtree caught fire in the second half, scoring 24 of his career-high 27 points to lead the Mustangs to the win.
👏 Michael Hall chipped in 22 points, while Quinton Williams added 21 in a high-scoring team effort.
What a game and what a finish! 💪🐎

📢 Springfield residents: The final public hearing for the city’s proposed $56.6 million FY 2026 budget is set for Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Springfield Council Chambers.
The council will consider adopting the budget immediately after the hearing. The plan includes major infrastructure investments, highlighted by a wastewater treatment plant upgrade.

🏈 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀: 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗱
South Effingham and Effingham County wrapped up their Division 3 state playoff runs Thursday at Whitewater High.
🔥 South Effingham: rallied to beat Winder-Barrow 14-12 but fell 19-13 to Whitewater, finishing the season 12-5.
💪 Effingham County: faced host North Oconee and lost 39-0, ending the season 8-9.
Both teams showed heart and determination all season—great effort, Rebels and Mustangs!
