I’ve taken a step back from baking recently too… I was in the midst of life things and frankly a baking burn out….

I did some Saturday morning baking… I’m not saying I’m 100% back at it.. but it definitely did my heart good this morning!

🩷🩷Nannie’s Goolash🩷🩷

1lb ground beef
1 bag of extra wide egg noodles
1 jar of canned tomatoes (stewed or crushed if not homegrown)
Celery salt
Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Extra spaghetti sauce if needed
Shredded cheese of your choice

Preheat oven to 350. Brown ground beef and boil noodles according to the package. Add sauce and seasoning to drained ground beef and allow to simmer. Pour drained noodles in pan. Pour your sauce mixture over top. Add more spaghetti sauce if preferred. Those canned tomatoes are thin! 😉 Mix to combine! Cover with shredded cheese and sprinkle with parsley and bake until melted! Enjoy!

Today our Pastor said something that made me think. He said, Storms don’t create roots, they reveal them. Now that’s powerful!

We can’t expect to stay strong when storms come if we aren’t rooted in the Word & Jesus. He never promised that we wouldn’t face trials but He did promise to never forsake us. I cling to HIS promises.

Please Lord help me draw closer to you so that when storms do come… I’m planted firmly in YOU!

🩷🩷Strawberry Shortcake🩷🩷

1 box of white/yellow cake mix (or your fave cake recipe
1 container of strawberries in sugar (thawed)
1 8oz container of cool whip (or homemade)
Fresh strawberries for topping of cake

Prepare your cake in two round 8 inch cake pans . Allow to cool completely. Place first cake layer on cake board. Poke holes in top of cake. Spoon strawberries in sugar on top of first layer and spread out. Pipe your cool whip around the edges. Place your second layer on top of the first and repeat the previous steps with spreading the strawberries and sugar. Pipe the remaining cool whip on top and around the open layer. Cut up the fresh strawberries and decorate the top with them! I like to put a couple of whole ones in the center and drizzle with some of the strawberry juice!! So good and easy! And BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy!
