NEW: The parish ambulance committee voted today, for the second time this year, to recommend the police jury contract with the Ruston Fire Department for continued EMS and rescue service to the rest of the parish.
The final decision to go with Ruston or Pafford EMS and the parish fire department lies with the jury.

Dogs will have their day

Four years after a pack of bulldog statues painted by local artists were first unleashed in the community, the Ruston Cultural District's Bulldog Project will at last come to a conclusion at the end of this month.
The RCD will hold the Bulldog Project Auction on Sept. 29 to sell off seven of the 10 colorful canines that were installed around Ruston in the fall of 2018.

Four years after a pack of bulldog statues painted by local artists were first unleashed in the community, the Ruston Cultural District’s Bulldog Project will at last come to a conclusion at the end of this month.
