COMING SOON TO ST. AUGUSTINE! Welcome to Sarah Stansel's world: Clutterbug Florida 🐞✨
If the Stansel name sounds familiar, it's because this family has been anchoring St. Augustine's local business and creative community for decades.
It all began in 1982 with the opening of the San Marco Antique Mall, St. Augustine’s original antique mall. Following his retirement from the auto parts industry in 1994, Sarah’s grandfather, John Ponder, spent 11 years working at the antique mall alongside her father, David Stansel. Together, they became familiar faces in the community that welcomed every antique lover through the door.
What started as the San Marco Antique Mall later evolved into Uptown Antiques when the Stansel family transitioned right down the road to 63 San Marco Avenue in the mid-2000s. For over a decade, it served as a cornerstone of the historic Uptown Antique Row district. The Stansel family was also involved in the early formation of the Uptown Merchants Association, reflecting the collaborative spirit that helped shape this stretch of San Marco Avenue into one of St. Augustine’s best-known antiquing corridors. From its courtyard garden to its multi-vendor booths, where Sarah grew up helping her grandparents, it was a local treasure.
Now, Sarah is carrying her family’s creative legacy into the next generation. Founded in 2025, Clutterbug is a playful mix of cuteness and clutter, bringing together new and old treasures for you to discover. Her shop features handmade jewelry, accessories, bags, and more, alongside antique/vintage furniture, art, and old Florida memorabilia. But Sarah didn’t stop there...She’s bringing that same sense of nostalgia and creativity to St. Augustine with Clutterbug Florida.
