I was looking at Wonder Pick options in this morning and found a Japanese pack with the Trainer card “Blue”. Fun fact: in Japanese this card (and the character it refers to, named Gary in the English version of the anime) is called グリーン / “Guriin” or “Green”. Apparently the original Pokémon games for Gameboy in Japan were called Red and Green, not Red and Blue.

Another coincidental factoid: when you say “The light is green” in Japanese while driving, you don’t use the word for green (midori), you use the word that normally means “blue” (ao). “Shingo wa ao desu”.

One of my favorite experiences from was the last panel I got to participate in: Rhythms of Roshar: Music of the Cosmere. These were my people! An entire room full of people full of not just Cosmere fans, but musicians, music theorists, and people whom I just resonated with! I LOVED the discussion and the audience questions.

Also… I was yesterday years old when I realized (thanks to a question about “quintaves”) that octaves are called such because there are EIGHT notes in the scale! 🤣What a night!
