Welcome to ZepFOCUS Fridays, filmmaker highlights that we’ll be posting every week. Up first, pur filmmaker focus is up-and-coming filmmaker Stephen King Simmons.
Simmons was born and raised in SLC, Utah. At the age of 12, he was creating haunted houses out of his parent’s basement. In 2005, he founded a local cult hit multi-art horror show titled “An October Evening”. He has gained a cult following on Youtube with his adaptations of “SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK”.
His favorite hobbies are ghost hunting, collecting macabre memorabilia and watching old black/white silent films. “THE PARKER SESSIONS” (Bayview Entertainment) was his first feature film, which had its world premiere at HorrorHound and International premiere at FrightFest.
His newest nightmare “LEAD BELLY” is a coming-of-age mumblegore masterpiece that will surely leave you unsettled, uncomfortable, and haunted for weeks after its last frame.
