I remember as a kid hanging out with my dad doing all kinds of home improvement projects listening to the music he enjoyed. A lot of that music we play here on KBER including Ozzy. I still remember the moment my mom told me one of her favorite bands was Black Sabbath & I realized my parents were once kids just listening to and discovering rock just like I did. Not only was Ozzy an incredible entertainer but he was also hilarious, don't believe me go watch old episodes of "the Osbournes" and you'll see why his death reaches far beyond his close personal friends and loved ones. We may not know him personally but you don't have to know a rockstar like Ozzy to be impacted and affected by his passing. His legacy will remain for many more years to come and I will never get tired of listening to my favorites like War Pigs, Close My Eyes Forever, Hellraiser and many many more.

Only a few things have been inevitable growing up on the radio, taxes and Ozzy F’n Osbourne. He was the Prince, King, and Emperor or Darkness. He was the CEO of Darkness Industries. He and Sabbath created metal as we know it. Did he take that and sit on a throne and look down on us peasants? Nope. He was just nice.

He could have told people every minute of every day he was better than everyone. Instead he wanted to lift people up and play music. Sh*t, he even made a reality TV show cool, a feat I once thought impossible!

If you want to know what musicians thought of him just look at the faces of all of those who got to play the Black Sabbath reunion. Just big old sh*t eating grins everywhere because they got a chance to play with their hero and he was happy to have everyone of them there and to lift them all up. He has ascended to something new. He is not a God, he is much more and the world is a much worse place without him.

Dear Ozzy,
I'm writing this as a lifelong fan, deeply appreciative of the music you've created over the years. Your voice, your stage presence, and the raw energy of Black Sabbath and your solo work have been a constant source of inspiration and joy in my life.
I remember the first time I heard "Crazy Train" and was immediately hooked. From there, I explored your entire discography and was captivated by the unique sound and lyrical depth. The sounds of Ozzy coming out of my 1971 Blazer in Orem Ut during the 90's. You've influenced countless musicians and continue to be a major force in the rock and metal world.
With the challenges you've faced with your health. Your resilience and determination to continue creating until your passing are truly inspiring. It's a testament to your passion for music and your unwavering spirit.
Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. Your music has meant a great deal to me and countless others. RIP to the greatest! You will be truly missed and it will bring a tear to my eyes every time I play your music on the air (which will be every day).
