Rick Astley was enjoying a Foo Fighters’ set at a festival with his wife when the band’s roadie handed him a mic and told him “Dave Grohl wants you onstage”. Astley jumped onstage and found the Foo Fighters had learned his signature song “Never Gonna Give You Up” and wanted him to sing. Despite being “tipsy and jet-lagged” at this point, Astley absolutely knocked it out of the park. Later on UK radio, he gave a language warning for anyone watching the performance online, explaining that “I just lost myself in that moment… singing in front of 50,000 people with the Foo Fighters.” Watch video in comments below 👇
