I love to fish and I love to take photos of nature. I'm not an expert in either, but on a journey to learn and improve my skills in both!

I travel around the United States with my family to photograph and explore as much as we can!

I got my fishing fix this weekend and caught two beautiful cutthroats and lost one large fish when reeling it in. I only got pictures of this one, but this is definitely my PB cutthroat! 😁 Practicing different techniques and trying different lakes paid off for me this weekend.

I do want to get advice on one thing. When you cast and catch something right away, but don't catch anything the rest of the time, would you switch spots or switch what lure/fly/ jig your throwing out there? Friday night I was only able to catch one, and didn't get any bites after that. There were fish still rising in the area though so I didn't want to move spots. I'm always trying to learn and improve so any advice helps!

With school starting, sports about to begin and birthday parties, I've been busy and had less time to adventure. When I finally get the chance to go back up to the Grand Mesa It hits me hard how much I miss it. This area is my happy place, where I can just go and forget the noise of every day life.

Happy Saturday everyone! I was able to do a little fishing last night and caught a beautiful cutthroat. Definitely my PB, nothing huge, but a decent sized one. It slipped out of my hands too fast and I wasn't able to get a picture, but I was at least able to get my fishing fix. 😅 For now I'll just share this photo of some mushrooms I found in the Grand Mesa about a month ago. I think I'll try a few more lakes this August and hopefully I can keep improving and catching more fish! ☺️

Throwback Thursday to earlier this summer when I had a chance to see my first moose! This was in the Big Cottonwood Canyon in Utah, but I'm hoping to get a chance to see one in the Grand Mesa one day. I haven't been up there for a few weeks, but I think I may try to make my way up there this month to catch some fish. 😁

On our trip to Texas in 2021, we stopped at Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo. This was a really cool place that my kids and I loved checking out. We left our mark on the cars just as many others have before us and will after. We love checking out unique road side attractions like this while we are on our road trips. It gives us a chance to get out and stretch our legs, and also see unique places. If you like seeing things like this let me know in the comments and i'll share some more cool roadside stops we have done on our trips!

My Google Pixel 10 pro still amazes me sometimes with the amount of detail it captures. A little dragonfly landed in my back yard and I tried to use the macro lens to get a picture of it. Check out the details in the wings!

I saw a beautiful lily pond with some yellow lily's blooming in the Grand Mesa. This Friday I am feeling very blessed and excited about what the rest of the year will bring. Happy Friday everyone, I hope you have a great weekend and catch a lot of fish....or a lot of views. 😁
