Health issues like asthma aren’t the only concern with breathing in Great Salt Lake dust. According to Salt Lake County Health Department, heavy metals found in the dust could lead to an increase in miscarriages, brain disorders, incarceration rates, and substance use. Lauren Steinbrecher shows how Salt Lake County Health is helping people take charge of their health and their lives, with two free programs that offers tools and resources to combat what’s around us in our environment.
