37 year ago, in April 1988, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty & Bob Dylan became Nelson, Otis, Lefty, Charlie T. & Lucky Wilbury after recording “Handle with Care” for a B-Side during George’s ‘Cloud Nine’ sessions. Deemed too good to be such a limited release, the group agreed to record a full album, titled ‘Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1’, which was released in October 1988. The rest is Wilburys history.
