SEEKING NON-AEA ACTORS/DANCERS
IN PERSON OPEN CASTING CALL: MONDAY JUNE 20, 2022
9:00AM- 10:30AM. SAME DAY CALLBACK (IF REQUESTED).
LOCATION: ATLANTA DANCE AND MUSIC ACADEMY
REHEARSALS:
o/a June 29-July 14, 2022. 10 hour min. work schedule
PERFORMANCES:
July 5- o/a Sept 11, 2022
Show runs 90 minutes. 2 shows Wed/Thurs. 3 shows Fri-Sunday.
PAY: $1500/week
Rehearsal weeks paid at a higher rate (TBD pending hours worked).
NOTE: Show will be double cast. Performers must be available for all dates (with limited exclusions).
Proof of vaccination required upon arrival. Please come dressed to move. Please do not contact venue/dance studio.
ROLE 1: (FEMALE. MULTI ETHNIC 25-45). Some dialogue. Strong skills in different urban dance styles: voguing, contemporary, hip hop, jazz/funk. Charismatic, with a strong stage presence and good physical acting. She will dance, improvise and interact with the audience. No tattoos on arms, back, neck or face. MUST be 5’5” – 5’8” tall. Atlanta based talent ONLY, or talent that can work as an Atlanta local.
ROLE 2: (FEMALE. OFF STAGE V.O. ROLE 20-40. ALL ETHNICITIES.) A mature sounding, sophisticated voice with the ability to execute a proper, upperclass British accent. Strong background as an actor or voice actor with strong skills in improvisation preferred. Witty, clever personality. Some lines will be scripted and some will require improvisational commentary based on observations of the guests. Atlanta based talent ONLY, or talent that can work as an Atlanta local.
ROLE 3: (FEMALE. 21-29. ALL ETHNICITIES.) Strong skills in classical, contemporary, jazz, and ballet. Charismatic, with a strong stage presence. Upper body strength is important. She will dance, improvise and interact with the audience. MUST be 5’5” – 5’8” tall. No tattoos on arms, back, neck or face. Strong upper body strength required. Aerial skills strongly preferred. Atlanta based talent ONLY, or talent that can work as an Atlanta local.
ROLE 4: (MALE. 21-29. ALL ETHNICITIES). Strong skills in classical, contemporary, jazz, and ballet. Charismatic, with a strong stage presence. Upper body strength is important. Character will dance, improvise and interact with the audience. MUST be 5’8” – 6’ tall. No tattoos on arms, back, neck or face. Shorter, Regency-era hairstyle preferred. Strong upper body strength required. Aerial skills strongly preferred. Atlanta based talent ONLY, or talent that can work as an Atlanta local.
ROLE 5: (Male. 21-35. ALL ETHNICITIES). Excellent British accent needed. Charismatic, with strong Improvisational skills. Comfortable with Immersive theater style interactions with guests. Must have some proficiency in classical, contemporary, jazz, and ballet dance. Sir Harris is a Regency-era gentleman. He is a part of upper society and acts like it. He is flirty and fun, but never salacious. No tattoos on neck or face. Shorter, Regency-era hairstyle preferred. MUST be 5’8” – 6’ tall. Atlanta based talent ONLY, or talent that can work as an Atlanta local.
ROLE 6: (SWING/UNDERSTUDY- FEMALE, 21-40. ALL ETHNICITIES.) This contracted role will act as swing/understudy for both Role 1 and Role 3. Please see requirements for both of those two roles. They will apply to this role. Atlanta based talent ONLY, or talent that can work as an Atlanta local.
