05 SEP 2026 | Mr Ntuli, a teacher at Pungutsha High School, has expressed the school's gratitude to the Pungutsha Alumni for their contribution towards supporting learners.

Speaking to Seabe Re-In FM during the alumni donation ceremony, Mr Ntuli highlighted the importance of school uniform in helping learners feel a sense of belonging, dignity and inclusion within the school environment.

He also raised concerns around vandalism at the school, particularly damage to school property and infrastructure, stressing the impact that such acts have on the learning environment and the broader school community.

The donation, which included school-related items and personal-care essentials, was welcomed by the school as meaningful support for learners.

PUNGUTSHA ALUMNI RETURNS HOME TO SUPPORT THE NEXT GENERATION

05 SEP 2026 | Former learners of Pungutsha High School in Katjibane have returned to their former school to give back to the current generation of learners through a donation aimed at supporting both their educational journey and their personal wellbeing.

The donation ceremony brought together Pungutsha Alumni members, teachers and learners, with beneficiaries receiving parcels containing a range of essential items.
Among the items distributed were shoes, clothing items such as ties, and personal-care products including roll-on, body cream and other toiletries.

The Alumni delegation also provided learners with an opportunity to see what can be achieved beyond the school gates.
Among the former learners who returned to Pungutsha are professionals working in various fields, including education, law, human resources and different government departments, among others.

Alumni members encouraged the learners to take their education seriously, remain focused on their goals and understand that their current circumstances do not determine how far they can go.

They also challenged the learners to think beyond their own success, encouraging them to one day return and make a difference in the lives of those who come after them.

The story of Pungutsha Alumni is ultimately one of returning to where it all began, and investing in those who are coming next.
