Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Our community is coming together to support the family of our dear brother, Abdiqadir Abdiqadir, who has passed away.

The first Somali sustainability conference in the U.S. brought community members, public health professionals, and environmental advocates together for a full day of discussions on sustainability, public health, and environmental justice.

The conference also featured a presentation from Maymuna Haji-Eda, Nasra Mohamed, and King County Public Health on lead exposure, its health impacts, and ways families can protect their loved ones.

A Night to Remember for Seattle’s Somali Community!

Family Success Center brought the community together for “Shaah & Sheeko,” a special evening celebrating connection, culture, families, and the people who continue to support our community.

The room was packed with families, childcare providers, community leaders, elected officials, and supporters. From powerful conversations to youth cultural performances and community awards, it was an evening unlike anything we’ve seen before.

A beautiful night for Family Success Center and the Somali community.
