Is there no end to the nasty water? 🫠

If you’re just joining me, welcome in! 👋🏻 This is a saga about a gorgeous golden bed canopy I’ve thrifted to use as a photography backdrop. After a full day of rotating washes, the sky decided it wanted to help by offering its OWN rinse 🤣☔️ I think that’s a good thing - maybe it’ll be mysteriously cleaned by the magical rain…

The only way I’m ever going to find out what color is underneath all this grime is to just literally lather, rinse & repeat 🤣🫠 at least the clouds feel like helping (in a manner of speaking)! The rain helps with rinsing…but messes with my plans of not having the backdrop stay wet overnight ☔️

The results of the first rinse are in, and this gorgeous thrift find is officially diagnosed as NASTY 🤮 look at the color of that water!!! It looks like to***co residue from smoking, so I’m really glad I’m giving it a good clean before going anywhere near inside it again! I used a gentle soap for the first rinse as almost a test of the material - I wanted to make sure I’m not damaging anything. However, with the way that water looked…I’ll be going in with something much stronger next time for sure 🫠🫣 what do you think - was it as bad as you thought it would be??
