When our pals at Day's Edge Productions & come calling, we know it’s going to be an amazing project, and that was certainly the case for their new PBS series Human Footprint.
In this fast-paced, engaging & thought-provoking six-part series, join biologist and host Shane Campbell-Staton and explore the global impact of Earth’s most ingenious, destructive, and adaptable species. Earth has never experienced anything like us: a single species dominating and transforming the planet. Shane travels the globe to explore our Human Footprint and to discover how the things we do reveal who we truly are.
The first episode Strangers In Paradise takes a look at how invasive species are reshaping the world’s ecosystems, but who’s really to blame? In this episode, Shane wrestles a python, hunts Hawaiian pigs, and gets sucker-punched by a carp to answer the question: in the Age of Humans, how does our species decide what belongs?
Ep 1 Strangers in Paradise drops TONIGHT @9/8C, with new episodes every Wednesday or check it out on the PBS app. We’re really proud of the show and it was such a pleasure to collaborate with such an all-star team! Robbie Carman DC Color Joey D'anna, and lead mixer Rick Rush

The International African American Museum opened its doors for the first time of many yesterday! OHA was able to work in Charleston, SC on two permanent exhibits for this incredible museum. Cheryl took the mixing lead on the “Atlantic Worlds” exhibit, which includes a 30-foot video screen featuring a short film that explores the historical connections between the Black Atlantic World, Africa, the Americas, and Europe. Jeremy Guyre was the lead mixer for the “TransAtlantic” exhibit, which involves a walkthrough composed of eight large video screens to take visitors on an immersive journey through hundreds of years of history, from African roots through international diaspora scenes and traditions. We had an awesome time collaborating with Cortina Productions, Inc. on this project, and are so happy to have been able to contribute to a project that tells such important and necessary stories of history.

Awesome film. Congrats Into Nature Films. Thanks for entrusting us with your sound. A great job by Rick Rush and team.
One of our recent projects, ’Where Birds Can Be Birds’, is an official selection for the 38th annual Festival International du Film Ornithologique Ménigoute in France.
We are thrilled to attend the screening next Saturday, October 29, in France!
This unique festival attracts 40,000 people over six days for art, film, nature, and forums.
Barbara Howard, President of the Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges and Executive Producer, says in the film, "There’s not many places that are left in the Tampa Bay area that can take care of these birds. The beaches have their condos. Egmont Key is a great place as well as the Pinellas Refuge and Passage Key for the birds to go where they can just be themselves.”

It's D Day! On this day, in 1944, the U.S. Army invaded the beaches of Normandy during WWII. OHA did the sound design and mix for the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front in Richmond, CA. It's a national historical park that honors the efforts and sacrifices of American civilians on the WWII home front. This exhibit was wonderfully directed by Nina Gilden Seavey and produced by Signature Productions, and was also one of the first museum projects that Ott House Audio worked on!

Explore and honor the efforts and sacrifices of American civilians on the World War II home front. Find out how they lived, worked and got along. Many faces, many stories, many truths weave a complex tapestry of myths and realities from this time of opportunity and loss.
