One of my highlights from attending the Creators Summit at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (Official) was speaking to Kirk Nugent and Ministry Innovation. Imagine the kind of conversations we could have if questions stayed open and differing opinions were explored instead of shut down.

I have such a deep appreciation for people who think critically, stay curious, and aren't afraid to wrestle with ideas. Those are the kinds of minds that make me want to sit at their feet and learn... and learn... and learn.

Thank You, Lord, for these disciples; people I can learn from, grow alongside, and who, through their love for You, help me love You even more.

I'm at the Creator Summit in at the moment, and we've been talking a lot about identity in Christ, growing, learning, and stepping into what God's calling us to do. And there are moments where I'm sitting there thinking, "I don't really know what I'm doing." But I don't always know what I'm doing anyway 😅
Its a great reminder that God has never needed me to know everything. He only asks that I trust Him enough to take the next step. Here I am with a bunch of other creators who also love God, walking with the One who knows all 🩷

Attending the Hope Channel Network Leaders Conference at the Digital Strategy for Mission Convention here in Auckland has been inspiring.

For many of the people in the room, this is their everyday work. They live and breathe digital mission. But for someone like me, whose day job sits outside what we often call "full-time ministry", it was a privilege to come alongside people who dedicate their lives to helping others encounter Jesus.

One thing really stayed with me.

We don't share the gospel just for the sake of sharing it. We don't support these organisations simply to tick a box or celebrate bigger numbers. Behind every view, every click, every donation, and every decision is a person deeply loved by God who may be hearing the good news for the very first time.

It reminded me of the story Jesus told when He watched people giving at the temple. The wealthy gave large amounts, but a widow quietly offered just two small coins. To everyone else, her gift seemed insignificant. But Jesus saw what no one else could see. Her heart. She gave out of love and trust, not abundance.

God has never been impressed by numbers alone. He's after transformed hearts that understand His heart for people. Generosity, service, creativity, strategy. These aren't the mission themselves. They're the overflow of a life that has encountered the love of Christ.

I'm leaving this conference not simply inspired by digital strategy, but reminded why the strategy exists in the first place: because every person matters to God ❤️

Sometimes we assume people have already heard the story. They haven't.

That's why I'll keep sharing what God is teaching because one conversation, one post, or one video might be the first time someone encounters hope.

Here are three things I would tell my teenage self about God if I had the chance.

1. You're going to be on fire for God. Make sure that fire burns for the right things.

There will be times when you see things that are wrong. You'll notice hypocrisy, injustice, hurt, and people making decisions that don't seem right. And you'll feel it deeply.

But being passionate for God doesn't mean picking fights with people at church because you disagree with them. It doesn't mean charging into every battle you see.

Know that God sees those things too. He cares about them even more than you do.

That doesn't mean ignoring evil or pretending wrongdoing isn't happening. It means learning that there is a right way and a wrong way to address things. Sometimes wisdom, patience, and grace can achieve what anger never will.

2. Spend time in the Word. Learn the big story.

You don't need to know every theological argument or the origin of every Hebrew or Greek word.

Just get familiar with the story.

Know who God is. Know how He has worked throughout history. Know how the different books connect together.

The more you understand the bigger picture, the easier it becomes to make sense of the smaller details.

Don't get so caught up in the pieces that you miss the masterpiece.

3. Remember that you're still growing and easily shaped by the people around you.

You might think you're independent, but the truth is you're being influenced every day, by your friends, your leaders, social media, culture, and the voices you choose to listen to.

Be aware of that.

Not everyone who sounds confident is wise. Not everyone who claims to speak for God is pointing you towards Him.

Stay close to God and let Him be the one who shapes your heart, your character, and your understanding of the world.

The people around you will leave their mark, but make sure the deepest mark belongs to Him.
