I’m always constantly amazed by the people that agree to come do an interview with me. Doing this was never something I imagined myself doing. I never considered the possibility that I would interview people someday. Like ever. I was totally star struck by my local DJ’s and being them was unobtainable. They were and are superstars. Well. Here we are. I don’t consider myself one of them…but I’m so honored everyday to be on this radio journey. I’m just a girl from Indiana…who loves music and art and learning new things and talking to people and making those people feel amazing and important because they should feel that way and if they don’t…I want to change their minds. THAT is my passion…radio is the way I get to tell all of you that…but making people feel amazing about their art…is my passion. So thank you. Thank you to my station for giving me a platform to lift these artists up. Thank you to the artists for sharing your art with us. Thank you to our show partners who believe in supporting independent artists. You all have made a profound impact on my life. Thank you all. ❤️. I never forget how lucky I am.

👀 The full interview with Donovan Howard is now available! Donovan Howard is truly an Appalachian gem. His songs carry the kind of storytelling that can make you laugh, cry, feel the weight of sorrow, and then laugh again, all in one sitting. It’s this gift that’s earned him the title of “a songwriter’s songwriter.” What’s even more remarkable is his ability to move effortlessly between bluegrass, country, and blues, all while keeping the heartfelt charm that sets him apart.

In this interview, we were treated of hearing two unreleased originals: “Let It Be,” a bluesy, but almost humorous reflection about letting go, and a powerful, deeply moving song about the oftentimes silent struggles some of our brave first responders, veterans, and servicemen and women face when they return home.
