Since the company was launched in 2011, Thal Dixon and Grumpy Publications have been the recipients of over 20 different Best of State Awards within the Children's Books, Poetry, and Illustrations categories in Utah. Thal Dixon has also been the recipient of the BOSS award for overall arts and entertainment in Utah. Every year, Thal Dixon entertains and educates thousands of students performing a

ssemblies for local schools to encourage reading and positive social change. With his "Book is the Key” program, he has given out over 50,000 books to school children to date.
