Spring Garden's Brady Ruark rushed for 170 yards, threw a touchdown and intercepted two passes, while Ben Baker rushed for 144 yards and three scores in a 30-14 win over Appalachian in a Class 1A, Region 8 opener Friday night. Link in the comments. ⬇️

Last week, Mr. Miller’s Agriscience classes and Mrs. Miller’s Family and Consumer Sciences classes visited Rocky Hollow Patch to learn about pumpkin and strawberry production and agritourism. They were able to pick pumpkins and enjoy some of the activities around the patch. Special thank you to the Dyer family and Rocky Hollow Patch for hosting us and especially Mr. Kent for teaching our students about the ins and outs of their business.

📚 Sixth Grade Social Studies Project-Based Learning! 🏺

Our sixth-grade students completed their first Project-Based Learning assignment in Social Studies, and they did an AMAZING job!

Each student created their very own The First Americans Diorama and chose one of the earliest groups or tribes they wanted to learn about and present to the class. It was so much fun seeing their creativity come to life! Each project had 3D settings, models, figures, and props, that made it look so realistic.

Every student added different details, ideas, and personal touches to make their diorama special, unique, and their own. They worked hard to take what they learned from the text and turn it into something they could see, create, and share.

This is one of my favorite ways to bring textual evidence to life in the classroom! ❤️📖

I am so proud of each of you, sixth grade! You worked hard, got creative, and did a wonderful job presenting your projects!

Way to go, sixth grade! You ROCK! 👏🏼⭐️
