If Draco finds a home, I will throw the biggest party. This poor boy…everyone that meets him loves him. But no one has come forward to even foster him, much less adopt him. We saved him from euthanasia at a shelter, got him healthy, trained, and ready for a home, but he’s spent more than 920 days in our rescue waiting to be given a chance at a home. It breaks our hearts. Surely there’s someone out there without small animals or small kids that can give him a chance???? Please share. He deserves to be seen around the country so his special someone can find him!!!

A successful day on the water!

Joelle enjoyed a great late-spring fishing trip on Fall Creek Falls Lake, where anglers continue to report quality catches of panfish and improving catfish action.

Several trophy Bluegill and Redear Sunfish have recently been submitted through TWRA’s Tennessee Angler Recognition Program, highlighting the excellent fishing opportunities available across the region.

As summer temperatures rise, consider planning your trip during the early morning or evening hours when conditions are cooler and fish are often more active.

Before heading out, check the latest Fishing Reports on the TWRA website. Visit TNWildlife.org, select the "Fishing" dropdown menu, and click "Fishing Reports" for current conditions, lake updates, and seasonal fishing information.

June 20 – RC Cola–MoonPie Festival 🌛🏃‍♂️👑🥤🎶

This wacky, annual all-ages event celebrates some of the South’s original fast-food items—an ice-cold RC Cola and a tasty MoonPie. Visitors from all over the world (there’s a “who traveled the furtherest” contest to prove it) will stream into the downtown Bell Buckle area for the RC Cola–MoonPie Festival to find plenty of music, cloggers, contests, MoonPie games, a colorful parade and more on Saturday, June 20, from 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Things kick off with 10-mile and 5K Races on certified and scenic, but challenging, courses. All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a race shirt, and at the completion of the race all runners are invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast with biscuits and all the fixings, fruit, and of course, RCs and MoonPies. The parade is a perennial crowd favorite, culminating in the crowning of the King and Queen of the festival. The coronation is followed by games for young and old and concludes with the grand finale, the cutting of the World’s Largest MoonPie—free dessert for all! OHV Compliance Checkpoint Notice

TWRA officers will conduct an OHV compliance checkpoint on the Ed Carter Unit of the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area on Friday, June 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Before you hit the trails, make sure you check off these important reminders:
- Have the proper permit
- Helmet required for riders under 18
- No drugs or alcohol while riding
- Obey the WMA's 25 MPH speed limit
- Stay on trails and avoid stream beds
- Don't litter-fine up to $500!

Help us keep North Cumberland safe and enjoyable for everyone by riding responsibly and following all OHV regulations.

Maury County Public Schools has been named a 2025-26 RTI²-A+B Change Makers Award recipient!

The Change Makers Award honors Tennessee school districts that have strengthened and aligned their Response to Instruction and Intervention for Academics and Behavior (RTI²-A+B) tiered support systems while creating lasting, sustainable improvements that positively impact every student.
