Just a reminder

If you've ever seen me face painting at an event or festival, you may have noticed I have no "charge" for my services. I simply work for tips.

Some people think that its insane, I don't "value" my work, time, knowledge, skill.

But let me tell you why.

I got thrown into face painting a few years ago, because someone assumed I could, since I painted canvases! HA! They are NOT the same! But I jumped in and faked it until- well I made it! I learned beside some of the best in our area. Learned tips, and tricks.

But I also learned "value".

There is NO price on a child's reaction when I show them their face in the mirror. There is NO price on the answer to "how much".

Plenty of times I have told my kiddos "no" to face painting, as I just couldn't afford and justify it.

So to ensure that NO child has to hear no- THAT'S why I have no set prices.

I greatly appreciate your tips- it pays for my supplies, my time, my practice, my knowledge. It also pays for others who can't justify the cost for their kids.

I hear so often "this is my first time getting face paint!" It warms and breaks my heart all at the same time!

So next time you see me out- stand in my line (I promise it goes fast) If you can't afford it- Stand in my line. If you CAN afford it- stand in my line. I paint whoever sits in my chair in front of me, all I see is a smiling child (and adults) enjoying some joy in their life.

***Just to clarify- I do still charge for parties and such, but certain events I attend for no charge***
