Realtors: you don’t need a new listing to create great content. 🎥

This was a Content Day with Savanna Perkins at a Ryan Homes community in Fairborn, and instead of trying to figure out what to post week after week, we spent our time intentionally capturing content she can use to educate, market, and stay visible to her audience.

That’s the beauty of a Content Day.

And no, you don't have to show up knowing exactly what to say. 😉

The idea ➡️ the behind the scenes ➡️ the finished video. ⛳️🎥

When your listing backs up to the 10th green, you could simply mention the golf course in the caption...

Or you could put the Realtor on the tee and let him hit a hole-in-one. 😂

This was such a fun concept to create with Mike Meyer for his listing at 20 Fairwood, but there was strategy behind the fun.

A creative listing reel gives us a chance to highlight something memorable about the property while also letting the Realtor's personality come through.

And that's important.

Because Mike isn't only marketing this house when he shares this video. He's showing future sellers the kind of creativity and effort he's willing to put into marketing their home, too.

That's why I love getting Realtors involved in their listing content.

The house gets marketed.

The Realtor builds their brand.

And hopefully, we create something people actually stop scrolling long enough to watch. 😉

Just, my camera, a huge basement… and apparently a few spider webs. 🕷️😂

The glamorous side of real estate photography!

This was a Standard Listing Package, and while I was making my way through the basement capturing the final photos, you can hear my camera taking three photos every time I press the shutter.

There’s a reason for that.
I shoot my real estate photos bracketed, which means my camera captures three different exposures of the exact same composition, one darker, one in the middle, and one brighter.

Why?

Because our eyes can naturally see detail in a bright window AND in the darker areas of a room at the same time. A camera has a harder time capturing that entire range of light in one photo.

Those three exposures give me more information to work with when editing so I can create a final image that better represents what the room actually feels like—keeping detail in the windows while still showing the interior clearly.

So when you hear...
📸 click-click-click...
I’m not taking three identical photos. There’s a purpose behind each one.

And when you see me suddenly swatting at my arm?
That’s just the complimentary spider-web experience. 😂🕸️

The things I do for the shot… 🐍😂

Real estate photography sounds pretty straightforward until the perfect angle requires you to venture into a spot where a snake could absolutely ruin your day.

Do I want the shot? Yes.
Do I also want to know exactly what might be hiding in that grass? Also yes. 😂

But this is part of what happens behind the scenes that you don’t see in the finished gallery. I’m constantly walking the property, looking for different perspectives, and figuring out which angles are going to best showcase the home, land, and everything that comes with it.

Sometimes that means sending up the drone.

Sometimes it means climbing into questionable places.

And apparently sometimes it means mentally preparing myself for a python encounter. 😂

Because when I see the shot… I really want the shot.
