Jensen Huang’s answer on intelligence shows how AI is changing what being smart really means 🧠🤖

On A Bit Personal Podcast, the Nvidia CEO refused to name one smartest person and challenged the idea that coding or problem-solving alone defines intelligence.

He said technical skills are becoming easier to replicate as AI advances, making emotional depth, adaptability, critical thinking, and ambiguity more valuable than ever.

His point reflects a bigger shift, where future success may depend less on answers and more on judgment.

Long before Amazon became one of the world's most valuable companies, Jeff Bezos' mother, Jacklyn Gise Bezos, was facing challenges that few future billionaire founders ever experienced. She became a mother at 17 and worked to continue her education while raising her young son, sometimes bringing him along to classes as she pursued a better future.

Years later, that same willingness to take risks would play a crucial role in business history.

In 1994, Bezos left a promising Wall Street career to launch an online bookstore from a garage. The idea sounded ambitious, but far from guaranteed. Bezos reportedly warned his parents that there was a significant chance they could lose their entire investment.

They invested anyway.

Jacklyn and Mike Bezos contributed approximately $245,573 from their savings to help fund Amazon during its earliest stages. At the time, the company was a small startup selling books online. There was no certainty it would survive, let alone become a global technology giant.

The wealth mechanism was early-stage equity ownership.

Most people think wealth comes from salaries. The largest fortunes are often created through ownership. Rather than lending money for interest payments, Bezos' parents acquired an ownership stake in the business. If Amazon failed, the investment could have become worthless. If it succeeded, they would participate in the company's future growth.

Amazon's expansion into e-commerce, cloud computing, digital services, advertising, and logistics eventually transformed that early investment into one of the most successful startup investments ever recorded.

The story is not just about entrepreneurship. It is about capital allocation.

Jeff Bezos built Amazon. His parents made one of the highest-conviction investments in business history.
