A Severe T'Storm Watch is in effect for portions of southeast Wyo and the Neb panhandle through this evening. The primary concern is very large hail, although the stronger storms will also be capable of a tornado or damaging winds.

2PM 5/29 - Scattered thunderstorms are developing near the I-25 corridor this afternoon. These are expected to move slowly to the northeast over the next several hours. While not everyone will see storms today, each storm will be capable of producing strong, gusty winds, frequent lightning, brief downpours, and isolated hail.

The Torrington Tigers A team battled Westco to a 1-1 split in tonight’s doubleheader at Bullock Field. The Tigers shut out Westco in the first game for a 15-0 victory after five innings. Westco turned the tables to take the second game, 15-4.

The Tigers are back in action on Saturday with games against Wheatland and the Cheyenne Hawks. Good luck Torrington!

Anthony Arnusch – a striker for the THS Blazers soccer team and LFL graduate – captured the 3A soccer player of the year award from the Wyoming Coaches Association for the 2026 season! Arnusch also clinched his fourth all-state award and is one of only four male athletes in Wyoming soccer history to receive all-state honors all four years of a high school career.

Two talented Blazers and LFL graduates bagged 3A all-state soccer accolades from the Wyoming Coaches Association – Anthony Arnusch (forward) and Jace Schlagel (defender). Arnusch also earned all-state honors in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The Torrington Tigers C team cruised past Wheatland in both games of tonight’s doubleheader. In the first game, Torrington pulled ahead with a 5-0 third inning and 8-0 fourth inning for a 13-2 win. The Tigers left it all on the field in the second game for a 10-0 blowout victory!
