The Torrington High School Blazers battled 3A conference rival Lander for Homecoming Week this evening. Torrington took some tough hits during four quarters but the Blazers kept getting up and fighting down to the final buzzer.

The first quarter was close after junior quarterback Drew Kramer ran in a huge touchdown. A safety for the Blazers proved Lander was not invincible. Lander pulled up with two touchdowns in the second quarter. The Blazers refused to throw in the towel and reached the end zone in the fourth quarter when senior Landre Greiman ran in a touchdown to put a big dent in Lander's lead.

Despite the final score, there were plenty of solid plays by both the THS offense and defense.

The Blazers host Rawlins next Friday. Good luck Torrington!

The Torrington High School Lady Blazers crossed the state line to square off against a tough Scottsbluff varsity squad this evening. The Lady Blazers really battled in competitive second and third sets to match Scottsbluff in scoring and take control of the scoreboard.
