FREE RIDES !! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST !!
1. ITS HOT OUTSIDE, it's so HOT outside that the National Weather Service (you know... actual professionals with college degrees typically in weather related education, who also have actual equipment and stuff like that.. not a $1.00 weather app on your broken iPhone) has said that today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) from 11AM-7PM is NOT safe for humans to be outside.
2. PLEASE STAY INSIDE, PLEASE LEAVE FRESH WATER OUTSIDE FOR THE ANIMALS, You will be MUCH happier giving water to the the strays and wildlife than dealing with their dead Caucasus later this week......
3. IF YOU ARE A PREACHER, now is the time to preach about what hell is actually like !!
4. CHECK ON THE ELDERLY and folks with special needs. Lots of elderly try to conserve electricity and will get too hot and likely suffer a significant medical event if not death.
5. DRINK LOTS OF WATER, for those of you who drink Powerade and Gatorade (And for the job sites that provide that to their employees) YOU MUST DRINK EQUAL amounts of WATER with it, otherwise the Gatorade and Powerade will not work properly. OSHA requires job sites that provide Gatorade to provide equal amounts of water (THERE IS A SCINETIFIC REASON, dont drink water with it and you will likely find out WHY)...
6. AIR CONDITIONING - REPLACE YOUR FILTERS NOW, do not wait for it to stop blowing cold THEN try and replace the filters, once your house gets hot it will be nightfall before your air conditioning will be able to bring the temperature back down to comfortable levels. DO NOT go out and put things over the outside unit like you see online. YES it is beneficial BUT that unit has to have LOTS AND LOTS of moving air. Shading it helps BUT if you get stuff so close that it stops the air flow it will not help at all and most likely stop it from working correctly.
7. VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONING - For those of us that spend lots of time in vehicles. Vehicles sitting idle will have a hard time cooling like normal especially vehicles without tinted windows. Find shade to park under if you're having to sit a lot. Carwashes, gas stations, trees, billboards and anything that produces shade will help ALOT. Replacing the cabin air filter should be done.
8. WEAR DEODORANT. THIS IS A MUST - REAPPLY OFTEN - The entire society will appreciate it.
9. IF you are working outside, take BREAKS EVERY 5-10 Minutes in an air conditioned area. The old days of getting under a shade tree will not work during this event, the humidity is so high shade isn't going to do anything.
10. BE KIND TO PEOPLE - THE ON GOING JOKE IS 1. WEAR DEODORANT, 2. DRINK LOTS OF WATER, AND 3. WATCH HOW YOU TALK TO PEOPLE. THIS IS DEFINITELY THE WEATHER TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT IN.......
11. LOVE EACH OTHER, IF YOU SEE SOMEONE OUTSIDE WALKING, WORKING, OR JUST HOMELESS EXISTING, GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO DRINK.
12. EMERGENCY SERVICES - PLEASE BE COURTEOUS WHEN DEALING WITH POLICE, FIRE, EMS, PUBLIC WORKS, AND ANY ONE ELSE WORKING OUTDOORS. THE GEAR WE WEAR IS EXTREMELY HOT TO BEGIN WITH, THIS HEAT CAN BE A CAREER STOPPER IF YOUR NOT CAREFUL.

On Monday, July 27, 2026 & Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Go TRU, a division of HickeyTIME TV, will be offering FREE rides to work from 11:00 AM–7:00 PM for citizens in the Trumann, Arkansas area!
Sometimes something as simple as having a ride can make a BIG difference. ❤️
