⭐️ Tulsa Business Spotlight ⭐️ Slate Sourdough🥖

Are you a fan of sourdough? Whether you love to bake it, buy it, or eat it, you need to check out Slate Sourdough! After many of you recommended it as a “must-try,” I decided to see for myself.

Located on Reconciliation Way in downtown Tulsa, this unassuming brick shop has all the best bakery vibes. The moment you walk in, the tantalizing smell of freshly baked bread hits you—which, for me, resulted in buying way more than I intended to!

Back home, I did a deeper dive into the world of . I was truly moved by owners Breanna and Lawrence MacAlpine’s investment in the Tulsa community. All of their delicious breads and sweets are made with organic ingredients sourced from local suppliers and businesses. They also focus on enriching the community with hands-on learning, offering workshops and even sourdough starter kits.

Slate Sourdough was featured in the October edition of Tulsa People, and I can see nothing but further success in their future…(she declares as she wipes way too many crumbs off her shirt).

“Because of a shower, I feel human again.”

The seemingly daily and mundane is giving new hope to the homeless here in Tulsa.

Have you heard of the BeHeard movement? They provide mobile drop-in centers to those experiencing homelessness. Whether it’s a shower, laundry services, clothing needs, or even a haircut, the BeHeard movement is working to make a difference one life at a time.

I had no idea this was available until now, and I am so touched by the vision of .mvmt and the hope and value their care brings.

🥙 Today’s stop…MEDDYS!!🥙

I’ve wanted to try since the opened. I love all things Mediterranean food and I’ve heard they offers authentic fresh Mediterranean fare.

We tried the pita and hummus which was some of the best pita I’ve had! The hummus is amazing as well.
We had a chicken shawarma and a steak bowl with this delicious sauce. It was a huge amount of food.

It was packed but definitely worth the visit! I left feeling satisfied and excited to have another healthy lunch option!

🍪 ♥️ Tulsa Cookie Destination ♥️🍪

There have been several events I’ve attended recently that had OK cookie momster customs cookies at. Scrumptious frosted perfection with every shape, detail and costume design you can think of.

But today, I was just craving a classic chocolate chip cookie. I decided to stop by their 31st & Harvard location and see if a classic confection held up to their custom cookies. The kiddos each chose a chipless chuck cookie and I, on a whim decided on the salted Carmel and white chocolate chip cookie. HOLY SMOKES! Cookie perfection🔥🍪 So big, so rich-we will definitely be back for more!

🎁 The cute shop offers cookies, coffee and variety of unique gifts and indoor outdoor seating.

😃😍 has my attention and we will definitely be back!.

Small Business Spotlight: Camp Ninja Warrior! 🥷✨

Heading i to the new school year we see sport practices ramp up but what if your kids don’t play sports? What do you have to burn that energy throughout the week?

we found the best answer for this! I was looking for a way to burn energy, ignite confidence, build strength, and have a blast with the whole family I found Camp Ninja Warrior in Bixby does all that—and more! Nestled in the Cross Creek complex at 12810 S Memorial Drive, this faith-based obstacle-course training gym welcomes ninjas of all ages—from energetic 3-year-olds to determined adults.

🌭 Did you know Tulsa’s been in the Coney dog game since 1926? A Greek immigrant brought the Coney Island-style dog here, and it became an instant hometown favorite! Honestly, I’m always on an unofficial quest to find the BEST Coney in Tulsa… and while I haven’t tried them all, I’ve got a current favorite you need to check out.

Next time you’re headed to Bixby, swing by Moondogs Coney Cafe for lunch! This family-owned gem brings sunny, beachy vibes with bright colors, tropical touches, and the happiest staff around. My boys and I grabbed lunch today—three of us ate for under $20! 😱🌴

The Coney dogs? Steamed buns, perfectly cooked dogs, and just the right amount of beanless chili, cheese, mustard, and diced onions—absolute perfection. There’s just something special about a place that takes true pride in what they make, and Moondogs Coney Cafe is it.

In the time that I have spent touring Tulsa’s local scene I have to say one of my favorite spots is a little family run gem nestled in Broken Arrow. If you haven’t check out Okie Family Market you will definitely want one swing by sometime!
❤️Not only do they have some of the friendliest service but they offer a huge selection of Oklahoma-grown foods, produce, meats, and handmade goods. With a mission to support local families and finding fresh, high-quality food and treats for your home seems to be doing it right.
Not only do I love knowing my dollars go straight back to the Tulsa community but I find comfort knowing all the items are seasonal, high-quality, living and healthy.

Go visit them in Broken Arrow or check out their products online! I will eat through my current bounty quickly and will definitely be returning to try more.
