The Honey Bee Veterinary Consortium (HBVC) Conference is coming to Texas for the first time ever — and you don’t want to miss it!

Do you have a practical beekeeping idea, innovation, or tool that could benefit others? Whether it’s a clever hive modification, a new way to monitor colonies, or a tool that makes beekeeping easier—we want to hear from you!

The American Beekeeping Federation is offering $2,000 through the Bee Practical Award to support creative, useful ideas from real beekeepers.

Winners will:
-Receive funding to develop or showcase their idea
-Present at the 2026 ABF Conference in Mobile, AL (free registration included!)
- Be featured in the ABF Quarterly magazine

Only 5 more hours left to sign up to take the Texas Master Beekeeper Exam in Austin Texas on Thursday at the Austin Southpark Hotel!! What are you waiting for?? To take the Apprentice Level Exam you need only be a beekeeper for a year and you must register as a Texas Beekeeper with TAIS (which you can do this on site at the test). You must preregister online to take the test.
