Sixty years. Think about that for a moment.

For one weekend each June, Vermilion comes together to celebrate what makes our community so special…friends, family, neighbors, visitors, businesses, volunteers, sponsors, entertainers, vendors, public safety personnel, and countless people working behind the scenes to create something memorable.

As we reflect on the 60th Annual Festival of the Fish, our hearts are full of gratitude.

Thank you to our sponsors whose generosity helps make this event possible year after year. Thank you to our volunteers and committee members who dedicate countless hours before, during, and after the festival. Thank you to our city departments, safety forces, vendors, entertainers, and community partners who help keep everything running smoothly. And thank you to everyone who attended, supported local businesses, enjoyed the festivities, and created memories with us this weekend.

From fireworks over Lake Erie and the Lighted Boat Parade, to the parade, sandcastle contest, Crazy Craft Regatta, live entertainment, family activities, and all the traditions that make Festival of the Fish uniquely Vermilion…this celebration belongs to all of you.

The 60th Anniversary Festival of the Fish was a tremendous success because of the incredible people who call Vermilion home and those who continue to support our community year after year.

From the Festival of the Fish Committee and the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce, thank you for helping us celebrate six decades of tradition, hometown pride, and community spirit.

Here’s to the next 60 years. ❤️

A Florida teen on a scooter reportedly ran a stop sign and nearly got badly hurt after hitting a police vehicle. That’s how fast it happens.

Parents, talk to your kids. Scooters, bikes, e-bikes, whatever, they are not toys once they’re near traffic. Stop signs mean stop. Look both ways. Don’t assume drivers see you.
Know what your kids are riding and make sure it's legal for them to ride.

Conversations matter. Helmets matter. Traffic laws matter. They can save lives.

A 15-year-old on an electric scooter slammed into a Florida deputy's patrol car after authorities say the teen ran a stop sign.

City of San Francisco Attorney David Chiu named 10 companies in the lawsuit, including the makers of such popular foods as Oreo cookies, Sour Patch Kids, Kit Kat, Cheerios and Lunchables. The lawsuit argues that ultraprocessed foods are linked to diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease and cancer. ⬇️
