Some of are enjoying the fallish weather this morning while conducting training. All month, firefighters throughout the county will rotate through Hiotts Recycling to sharpen their extrication skills. We are very thankful for community partners like Hiotts that allow our firefighters to train for free.

We will be having a First Responders appreciation weekend Saturday August 30th to Monday September 1st!

All First Responders will get in FREE. Present a credential, such as a physical ID card, training certification, or a signed verification letter and get free admission and family members get in for $7.

We thank you and appreciate all that you do and we hope to see you this weekend!

Minor coastal flooding will occur along the coast of Charleston and Colleton Counties with high tide this morning. Expect flooding of roads, especially in Downtown Charleston and in areas along the backside of Edisto Beach as well as Isle of Palms.

Heads up for people in coastal Colleton! This morning's high tide was 7.39 feet and tonight's is expected to be 7.8 feet. Very high rainfall accumulations have occurred on Edisto Island in the last 24 hours, which will contribute to additional flooding during tonight's high tide. Turn around, don't drown. Register for Code RED alerts at www.colletonfire.com/codered

Another round of coastal flooding is likely tonight.
📍 Charleston Harbor: 🔴Moderate flooding expected with a 7.8 ft MLLW high tide at 9:04 PM.
📍 Fort Pulaski: 🟡Minor flooding expected with a 9.6 ft MLLW high tide at 9:10 PM.
