What if Everything We Thought We
Thought We Knew About Sasquatch Was Wrong?
Healy, Alaska; 4/24/2026—The recent March flurry of Bigfoot sightings in northeast Ohio has brought Sasquatch back into the public’s attention. Before Patty Volume I: Patrick—the Sasquatch/Human Hybrid & Our Genetic Inheritance is now available through wholesale and retail book sellers. In Before Patty Volume I, Alaskan author Norman Anton Sollie chronicles the uncovering of an abduction event in 1891 that resulted in a half Sasquatch, half modern-human child in rural Washington state. This remarkable boy grew into a man described by those who met him as extremely intelligent. Patrick had eight children of his own.
Before Patty Volume I provides detailed evidence from more than 160 historic documents that leads to the careful conclusion that Sasquatch is very closely related to us. Sollie shows that Sasquatch genes are now in North American populations, blurring the line between “civilized” and cryptid. The readers of this exhaustively researched book will question what it is to be human. Sollie writes:
How does [Sasquatch] successfully mate with a Colville Indian and produce a hybrid child who grows to have children, secure a Land Patent signed by President Woodrow Wilson in 1917, attain United States citizenship, register for two drafts, and sign up for Social Security? The hybrid Patrick was undeniably human.
Recognizing that encounters with the “Night People” persist, Sollie observes:
...they are returning to lands once lost. Their numbers have been growing, it seems, since the 1950s. Sasquatch are reinhabiting their old territories.
Before Patty Volume I is ideal for those new to the subject of Bigfoot with chapters recounting the extremely rare abductions of men and women; Sasquatch physiology, food sources, and culture; and the lives of Patrick and his children (including startling pictures of Patrick from 1928). As Michael Thompson of SasquatchTracker.com reports:
“[Before Patty] has something for everyone. Sollie also presents more in-depth information in sufficient proportions to maintain the interest of those who are conducting research.”
About the Author: Born in Australia, Norman Sollie lives and writes in Alaska. His two previous books are Iskut Ridge and The Monk Who Howled Like a Wolf. He is a member of the Boreal Bigfoot Research Group and twice participated in hosting the Boreal Bigfoot Expo, the farthest north Sasquatch-enthusiast gathering in the world. Sollie also maintains a site at academia.edu.
