Recorded in North Mississippi with Bobby Matt Patton (Drive-By Truckers) and a cast of friends from Appalachia and the Delta, Thy Burdens draws from hymns Geer learned as a child in Mobile, AL—music handed down from his great-grandmother and filtered through a life spent on the fringes.
