According to statistics released by the Georgia Department of Labor, the unemployment rate for Burke County rose to 4.9% for the month of June, up from 4.6% in May. However, this represents a drop from 5.7% for the month of June, 2024. There were approximately 494 persons unemployed in June. This compares to 469 unemployed in May.
