Due to road deterioration on Trout St at the pond, the City Of Midville has permanently closed that section.

‼️ The road is unsafe! DO NOT DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES ‼️

Ivey Lane is still accessible by traveling west on Trout St from Kilpatrick St.

Residence of 309 through 369, and Love Hill Baptist Church will need to access Trout Street by entering and traveling east from South Railroad Street.

S Railroad St is accessible from S Jones St (Hwy 56 S) and/or W Lee St (Hwy 17 N).

EBA Boy’s Track Results

The Edmund Burke Academy Boy’s Track Team posted seventy-five team points during last week’s meet at Gatewood Schools in Eatonton. Matthew Hood was Edmund Burke’s highest scorer at the meet with twenty points. Those points were courtesy of his first place finishes in both the shot put and discuss throws. Lukas Reindl racked up eleven points for the Spartans by finishing third in the 3200m run and fourth in the 1600m run. Aden Hickman had a third place finish in the long jump and seventh place finish in the 200m dash. William Reindl was sixth in the 800m run and sixth in the shot put. Blake Reddick finished third in the 110m hurdles, while Ryan Reddick had a fourth place finish in the 300m hurdles. Cohen Felix finished fifth in the 200m dash and eighth in the high jump. Bryce Chancey posted a sixth place finish in the triple jump and an eighth place finish in the long jump. Edmund Burke’s strongest relay event was the 4x800m relay that consisted of Asher Hammett, Blake Reddick, William Reindl and Lukas Reindl. The group finished in fourth place. Bentley Fitzgerald, Nash Parker, Blake Reddick and William Reindl had a sixth place finish in the 4x400m relay. Aden Hickman, Sam Hickman, Bryce Chancey and Cohen Felix posted a seventh place finish in the 4x100m relay.

BURKE COUNTY: State Route 56 is scheduled to close about five miles southwest of Waynesboro on Thursday at 8 a.m. for utility crews to make repairs. The route is expected to reopen later in the day with a plate in place and a reduced speed limit.
