It's officially fall fire season, meaning that the typical open burn ban from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. for unincorporated areas is in place every day for October and November (https://ohiodnr.gov/discover-and-learn/safety-conservation/about-ODNR/forestry/fire-management-program/open-burn-laws). Make sure you are aware of any other open burning restrictions that might be in place, including Ohio EPA (https://epa.ohio.gov/divisions-and-offices/air-pollution-control/permitting/open-burning) or any local fire department regulations.

On top of the burning restrictions, be sure to never burn on dry and windy days, even during an unrestricted time. Debris burns can escape control quickly and cause a lot of damage. Please be part of the solution and help prevent wildfires!

Today we get to celebrate, Bob Wallace, for dedicating 39 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. For nearly four decades, he has poured his heart into serving families with compassion and guiding our community through some of its hardest moments. He truly cares for every family that walks through our doors, and it shows in the way he loves and serves people.

We couldn’t be more proud of him, not just for his dedication to the funeral home, but for the man he is: kind, steady, and full of heart.

ODOT has the road closed from the intersection of SR 125/SR 41 south to Westview Drive due to an oil spill. They are working on getting it cleaned up.

AEP meteorologists are monitoring possible strong-to-severe storms across the central and southern parts of Ohio this afternoon and evening. These storms could bring scattered wind gusts of up to 60-65 mph in some areas.

Thunderstorms and strong wind gusts can bring down trees, utility poles and power lines.
