West Union Lions Club Celebrates 15th Annual Tree Lighting

The West Union Lions Club helped usher in the holiday season Saturday evening as the community gathered for the 15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Courthouse Square. The event, part of the Christmas on the Square festivities, drew families from across Adams County for an evening filled with holiday cheer.

Festivities included Santa’s Workshop hosted by The National Bank of Adams County, the Storybook Trail presented by the Adams County Public Library, Trunkin’ Around the Christmas Tree, horse-and-carriage rides provided by Double T Farm Trolley and Carriage Service, musical performances by the Liberty Band, and a nativity display presented by Adams County for Christian Values.

The highlight of the night came when this year’s Grand Illuminators, Gary McClellan and Bonnie Harover, led the countdown to light the village Christmas tree, marking a memorable milestone in this long-standing community tradition.

Full coverage and photos will appear in the upcoming edition of The Informer.
