Sometimes making it to the closing table is exciting.
Sometimes it’s a roller coaster of emotions.
And sometimes, it’s a little more sentimental than others.

Today, we closed on the house that started our real estate journey.

When Colten and I bought this house in 2020, we weren’t realtors. We were simply two people who saw potential in a property that needed a lot of work—and were willing to put in the work to bring that potential to life.

We learned a lot through that process.

About renovations.
About budgets.
About making smart decisions with a property.
About the difference between what a house is and what it could be.
And, perhaps most importantly, about what it feels like to have a significant amount of money and emotion tied up in a real estate decision.

Those experiences are a big part of why we approach real estate the way we do today.

We believe in looking at the numbers, understanding the market, recognizing potential, and having the honest conversations—even when they aren’t necessarily the easiest ones.

Because real estate isn’t just about buying and selling houses. It’s about making decisions that make sense for your family, your finances, and your future.

This house started our journey as real estate investors.

Eventually, it led us to become real estate professionals.

And today, we’re grateful to close this chapter knowing it played such an important role in getting us here.
