💙 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week | April 19–25, 2026 💙

This week, Madison County stands together to recognize National Crime Victims’ Rights Week and the powerful message behind this year’s theme:
Listen. Act. Advocate. Protect Victims. Serve Communities.

Every victim has a story. Every story deserves to be heard.

This week is about more than awareness; it’s about action. It’s about creating safe spaces to listen without judgment, standing beside those who are hurting, and using our voices to support and protect victims in our community.

Throughout the week, teal ribbons have been hung around the courthouse square in honor of all Madison County victims, a visible reminder that they are not alone and that our community stands with them. 💙

Join Crisis Intervention & Advocacy Center for an evening of BINGO, prizes and connection. Thursday, April 23rd, 5-7pm at the Winterset VFW Hall. All are welcome!

The 2026 Easter Egg Hunt at City Park is officially in the books for another year. Despite an unseasonably cold and windy day, young hunters stayed focused on their goal, filling their buckets with eggs as they eagerly rummaged through 10,000 scattered across the field west of the North Shelter House in City Park. Below is a link to the festivities, along with a few photos of children who were delighted to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny.
