POINTE is a captivating and moving documentary about Australian dancer
Floeur Alder, daughter of ballet luminaries Lucette Aldous AC and Alan Alder. At 22, about to embark on her European dance career, Flour was victim to a stabbing outside of her home at the hands of a stranger. While the physical wounds eventually healed, the trauma stirs turbulent memories from her past, sparking a deeply personal quest to find her place in the dance world.

2026 City of Vincent Film Project Films Announced! ⭐ HALO Films and The Backlot Perth in collaboration with the City of Vincent and Revelation Film Festival are excited to reveal three new film projects that will bring the City’s vibrant community and rich history to life on the big screen.

The City of Vincent Film Project, the only initiative of its kind in Australia, offers filmmakers a unique opportunity to receive a grant of $9,500—comprising $8,500 in cash and $1,000 in kind from Perth’s leading camera equipment provider Raz Studios and venue support from The Backlot and HALO Films the grant supports the production of a non-fiction short film of 10 minutes or less set in and around the City of Vincent! 🎬 From little things big things grow.
