Our current web server, hosting domains such as www.message7.org, www.cog7.au as well as internationalfederation.cog7.au has been running non-stop for many years. In that time, we have effected various repairs and upgrades. Instead of going down the path of replacing further components, we're thinking that it is expedient and timely to begin the replacement process, well before any estimated MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure). A hard disk failure for enterprise equipment is rated at 2,000,000 hours or 228 years! In the real world, it's never been tested. But, we'd rather ensure our hardware is optimal - as there is nothing worse than having to rebuild an active server from scratch!
We're looking at a minimum of around $4500 to a maximum of $6200, based on various quotes to replace the current server with a Dell R740 series or equivalent server.

We began media streaming the gospel some 27 years ago, and last week uploaded our 998th gospel sermon. As an IT technician, I could not imagine outsourcing our work; having an in-house server, of course, does pose its own security risks, as any online service does. But, we can be grateful for a providential up-time track record, thanking our heavenly Father for providing across this country the utilities and resources to further the gospel message.
