The Walk of Life blends life lessons with promoting awareness to the reality of the work done by the many professionals and volunteers at local animal shelters.

The story follows an adopted shelter dog's first day with a new family and forever home. The dog enjoys listening to life lessons while on its first walk with a new little friend.

As the little girl recounts discussions with her father, the shelter dog reminisces of its time at the shelter with the other animals.
This story of great life lessons includes activities like puzzles, searches, investigations, questions and coloring.

After more than 30 years of serving the community, the Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS) has been told by the Town of Erin that our lease will end in 2028 — putting our future — and the future of countless animals — in jeopardy.
Why? Because the Town wants to "maximize the property's value." But how do you measure the value of compassion? Of animals saved, families brought together, and lives changed?
