We are absolutely thrilled to share the news that Ocean will be producing a brand new three house format series - this summer! For HGTV!! WITH COLIN AND JUSTIN!!! We are so very excited. Keep watching this space - we are casting Nova Scotian homeowners and homes for 20 episodes of Small Town Escapes with Colin & Justin, filming in summer and fall 2025.

Wait, what? There's MORE international TV love heading to CAPE BRETON and NOVA SCOTIA?

Aye, t'is official: we're returning to HGTV! Having landed in Canada, 18 years past, our UK shows (Million Pound Property Experiment and How NOT to Decorate) aired on the popular network. Subsequently, our first orig' Canadian series (C+J's Home Heist) launched, and the rest, as they say, is history...

After filming a legion of shows, thereafter, in the UK, Canada and Oz, we're heading back to where it all started. To the mothership of home, decor and property shows. Yes indeed, we're thrilled to have inked a whole new chapter with our friends at HGTV.

Production has begun: we're filming 20 ep's of "Small Town Escapes with Colin and Justin", and helping home buyers secure places in small towns across mainland Nova Scotia, and of course right here in glorious Cape Breton. Having ourselves made the transition, via Hello North Star, we kinda understand the highs and lows. Yup, bought the T shirt, an' all...

We'll be touring buyers around 3 houses during each ep and guiding them to the best decisions... as we appraise the highs and lows of their new adventure.

With thanks to Jesse and our friends at HGTV and Rogers, and to the team at Ocean, the Nova Scotian pro co making the series. In other news, we're moving to Halifax for a few months when we close North Star for the season, being that a portion of the series will be shot in small towns around that area. We're SOOOO excited to kick this off!

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT – On Set and Driving - Looking to hire a Production Assistant for approximately 3 months. Must be a Nova Scotia resident, possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record, and be minimum 25 years of age. We require an individual in this role who is punctual, organized, and has experience working on film/ TV sets. Must be available for work April 21-August 1, which involves significant travel within all areas of Nova Scotia.

It's been a decade since we've produced To Catch A Killer, but these cases still resonate with audiences. One of the cases we covered, that of Nadine Gurczenski, has since been solved.
