Prismatic Evolutions has been restocked multiple times since its release. Considering there is more product coming to market, the Umbreon EX demand is unmatched. Having slowly decreased since release, it's now marching back upwards and has gained 30% over the last 3 months.

There's currently a population of about 10,000 graded cards on the PSA pop report. Only 3,300 of them have hit GEM MINT making this card pretty hard to get graded. Having a 1/3 chance, there's a pretty big premium for a PSA 10.

With the low pull rates, even with god packs, as long as the population for PSA 10's remain low, this card might surpass the Evolving Skies Umbreon VMAX Alternate Art when it comes to NM raw pricing.

How much more Prismatic Evolutions product will come to market and do you believe a lot of it is stocked away in peoples closets?

Happy Halloween!

Is the Charizard fatigue finally over?

With the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection releasing mid November and the previous Charizard UPC promo cards stonking over the last year, it was only a matter of time before other Charizard cards started moving upwards.

The Charizard V Alt Art from Brilliant Stars has gained 132% price increase over the last 12 months and most of it has come in the last 3 months or so.

With such a rapid increase in price, do you believe that we'll see other Charizard cards increase in value as the hype ramps up with the new Mega Charizard X ex UPC release?

Another Black Star Promo from the XY era reaching all time highs, the Pikachu EX from the Pikachu-EX Red & Blue Collection Generations set has seen its price move up to $256, a 135% increase over the last 12 months.

Considering the 30th anniversary set is scheduled to drop next year, do you think there are promo cards from the 25th anniversary set, Celebrations, that will have the same type of price increase that we see here.

Is it time to start looking at opportunity in the current anniversary sets or is it too late?

One of the Eeveelutions that was taken out of Evolving Skies on purpose, the Espeon VMAX isn't reaching the same prices as its counterparts.

Considering it was thrown into Fusion Strike and maybe less popular than the Moonbreon, it's also pushing towards new highs in terms of price.

Having a similar price trend to the Gengar VMAX we covered on Monday, will we start seeing this card push towards the $500 that the other Evolving Skies eeveelutions?

At $337, it actually looks like a bargain compared to its cousins. Is it time to buy or sell?

Mega Evolutions era is back to being released in waves. For those who were here back in 2021, this was the method the Pokémon Company used when releasing Shining Fates all the way to even Evolving Skies.

What happened back then was that as there were more things to do as we had a gradual re-opening, the demand waned although the production did not. This resulted in Shining Fates and Battle Styles getting printed to demand while Evolving Skies booster boxes could be found at $90 USD around Christmas time.

With the Pokémon Company having more print capacity in Q1'2026, is there a world where we return to those times or are the small dips such as the one we see from the Mega Evolution booster box short sighted moves to eventual higher prices?

What a ride for the hobby!

Already up about 116%, the Gengar VMAX is an example of an alternate art card pushing higher into the holiday season.

From it's initial push earlier this year at the end of January where it looked like it was going to break $1,000 by the end of winter, this card took a break and has steadily pushed back up to potentially hit new highs.

Considering the booster box and sealed product have already crossed the $1,000 mark and looks to be pushing higher, will this card finally see it crossing $1,000 by the end of the year or will we need to pay for 2026?

Only time will tell.

Trainer Gallery cards from the Sword and Shield era have been on a tear and Rayquaza VMAX from Silver Tempest finally caught up.

With most of the focus on the Eeveelutions from Brilliant Stars, Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery cards are finally having their time in the spotlight.

With an 89% price increase, the Rayquaza VMAX TG is now commanding a $142 price for a NM copy.

Almost a year ago, you could have found this card sitting in the $20-30 price range. With Silver Tempest being available in MANY retail products, it was definitely taken for granted.

As the Trainer cards made a come back with Journey Together, folks who like collecting cards with trainers featured in them have now set their sets on all the Trainer Gallery cards.

Do you think we'll continue to see the prices increase for TG cards from the SWSH era?

With the Team Rocket's Mewtwo being the chase card of the year, it's certainly helped all other Mewtwo cards in the hobby.

Being the second Mewtwo card featured this week, the Mewtwo GX from Shining Legends has shown very gradual and natural price appreciation over the last year.

Although a modest 200% when comparing it to other cards in the Sun and Moon era, we still see the price of a NM copy breach the $500 mark.

If it has the same rate of growth or even only increases 100% in the next 12 months, we'll see this card breach the $1,000 price point.

Do you think holding for a long time is always worth it or is there a price point where you think it's a good time to unload and move on?

Arguably nicer than the 4 gold cards, Mewtwo VSTAR is holding steady at $200 for a NM copy.

Seeing an 89% price appreciation in the last few months, there's a possibility for this card to decrease in value although it's highly possible that this card has established a new floor for the following reasons.

With Crown Zenith FIRMLY out of print as well as all recent retail products increasing drastically in value, ripping packs has slowed down and new singles supply flowing into the market has slowed down.

With a higher price point, people might keep their card in their personal collections as it's seen a good price appreciation and it will be harder to get a new copy later on if someone decides to sell theirs.

Considering where the hobby is at the moment and SWSH era now 2 eras behind the current one, there's a real possibility this Mewtwo card will start seeing similar prices of S*M Mewtwo cards in a couple of years.

It's always important to know which trainer card is part of the meta.

Lillie's Determination which also has a Full Art as well as Special Illustration Rare variant is one of the main cards in the meta at the moment.

Being featured in most decks, including the Tera Box that placed first in recent Yokohama Champions League this past September 20th always helps retain card value.

For those fortunate enough to find Mega Evolution at MSRP, make sure to keep track of your bulk cards and pluck out any Lillie's Determination for easy trade ins.

Another day, another Illustration Rare seeing insane moves upwards.

Greavard from Scarlet and Violet Base Set has seen a 272% price increase over the last month. Most notable move was at the end of September and early October in line with Mega Evolution release.

With all the S&V Booster Box products as we as pull rates relatively low for Illustration Rare cards, will we see similar price action for newer Illustration Rare cards?

As these cards have spikes in prices, there's usually a trend where they don't go back to their previous price, in this card around the $6-7 mark.

Can Greavard maintain its $30 price tag?

Paradox Rift will be part of the block of cards from the S&V era that will rotate out in early 2026.

It doesn't really have a very expensive chase card in it, however, its hasn't really gotten a reprint and many of the packs in retail products over the last year or so has included Paradox Rift.

Considering that Paradox Rift will be one of the first sets in S&V that will rotate out, there's a real possibility that a lot of the cards found in this set can see higher prices in 2026.

Although nothing too special found in the set, many collectors are looking to collect the Illustration Rare cards in S&V era.

Do you believe that the Illustration Rare cards have carried the S&V era and are making none popular sets or cards see their prices increase because of this?
