As people look for opportunities, it seems like collectors are making their way to the WOTC era cards.

Snorlax Unlimited from the Jungle set has seen a 97% increase over the last year. Firmly out of print and extremely hard to grade, these cards in almost any grade are very safe from reprints.

Do you think collecting vintage singles and singles out of print is better than chasing the newest released cards?

Surging Sparks is probably the set to watch as it got the same treatment as Destined Rivals.

It got a sizable reprint for both ETBs and Booster Boxes. Even with the sizable reprint, the Surging Sparks ETB still increased 70% in the last 12 months. Although no price movement in the initial months, it started picking back up once the product made it's way through the market.

As Pikachu being one of the most popular Pokémon, Surging Sparks was a fun product to rip and packs were relatively cheap for the second half of 2025.

Going out of rotation in April, which is 8 months away, do you think the Pokémon Company is done reprinting this set and has moved on or do you believe there's a large stockpile of packs "somewhere" ready to be included in retail products?

Probably the easiest /iR to pull from Paldean Fates, the Wugtrio Illustration Rare used to go for about $0.50 before the boom.

Fast forward to today, with the set firmly out of print, we've seen this card increase further to $2.74 which is an 86% increase over the last 12 months.

As less and less Paldean Fates get opened and these get off the market, will we start seeing these have the same growth in the next 12 months?

What card below $2 do you think will see a lot of appreciation in the next 12 months?

The hottest reprint right before the 30th Anniversary drop in the middle of September, Destined Rivals ETBs dipped below $100 for a day or two.

As you can see with the graphs, the volume spiked when this happened and a lot of buyers came into the market to gobble up that product. We're already seeing prices rise at the writing of this post.

The main question is, is the Pokémon Company done with the reprints or at least the distribution of them?

Considering there are still drops happening and these ETBs have finally made it to local LGSs, will we see more as the 30th anniversary products get released in waves?

Either way, are you picking some up at these prices are do you believe there's more room to drop?

Riftbound is closing in on one year anniversary since its release. Backed by Riot and based on the League of Legends game, it has a lot of factors going for it.

One thing that people keep mentioning is that it's rather hard to find product. The company behind the printing of the TCG has reprinted Origins multiple times as well as Spiritforged, the featured box in the post.

Regardless of the reprints, the demand is astronomical with SpiritForged gaining 60% in the last 3 months and outperforming other mainstream TCGs like Pokémon, MTG and One Piece.

One main difference that this TCG has is the online community from League of Legends exploring the League of Legends game in the physical format for Riftbound.

The creators have also made it collector friendly with Signature chase cards that are gaining value almost on a weekly basis.

Do you think Riftbound is a sleeping giant and has the possibility of surpassing other well established TCGs?

Has YuGiOh cracked the code?

Chaos Origins is the 3rd set that featured over frame full art cards. With incredible sell through since release, there's actually only about 10 days left supply on TCG player as of the writing of this post.

With an average daily sales volume of 37 boxes and only 252, the demand and lack of supply is quickly pushing up prices for the box. Gaining 20% in the last month, the question is, is there supply hidden somewhere or will we start seeing this box push well into the $100's?

Considering that YuGiOh has started to pursue the collectability side of its Japanese counter parts, have higher end collectors finally gained enough confidence to give YuGiOh a shot?

The Sword and Shield is low key getting the X&Y treatment when we were back in the SWSH era.

No one really liked the X&Y cards and not many folks really focused on collecting them as people chased SWSH alt art cards.

Fast forward to today, the SWSH is out of print and also had notorious bad print quality like in the X&Y era. Although "printed to oblivion", pulling an alternate art card was still relatively hard and that's what prompted the Pokémon company to introduce Illustration Rares to make the pack opening experience better.

Although only increasing 39% in the last year, this card has decent sell through rate and continues to slowly climb in value as copies get stored away in personal collections.

How long do you think SWSH will take before it achieves the same heights as X&Y and S*M era sets?

The Gengar VMAX officially crossed the $1,000 price mark over the last week. This card has increased 63% in value over the last 12 months.

Meanwhile, the Ascended Heroes Gengar EX has dropped below $1,000 price mark and looks to be still falling.

If you had a to pick one, would you rather take a card that is 5 years old, is a very popular Pokémon, a very recognizable artwork and firmly out of print?

Or

Would you rather take a very new card that released this year but is the chase of almost everyone in the hobby?

Another SIR taking a hit from the confirmed reprints, N's Zoroark EX has dropped 17% in the last 3 months.

Journey Together got a confirmed Booster Box reprint and product is yet to hit store shelves. With the reprint incoming, there's bound to be more singles hitting the market.

Any retail products such as the Mega Charizard x ex UPC has also taken a hit as there are Journey Together packs in that product.

Is now the time to be selling parts of the collection or buying the missing pieces as prices start falling?

The start of the price decline for Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex from Destined Rivals has started.

It's decreased 12% over the last 3 months and product hasn't fully hit the secondary market yet. Considering a lot of folks are either adding Destined Rivals etbs to their personal collection as sealed items or they just haven't made their way to peoples hands yet, this card might fall even further.

With the rumored quantity of Destined Rivals products yet to hit distribution and store shelves and the release of 30th anniversary set, how long do you think this card will go?

Destined Rivals is smelling like Fusion Strike all over again.
