Yes, even world leaders get stuck in traffic 😳 French President Emmanuel Macron was forced to call Donald Trump after his motorcade froze the streets of New York during the UN General Assembly.

🔑 Key details:
• 📞 Macron phoned Trump saying: “Guess what, I’m waiting on the street because everything is frozen for you.”
• 🚶 He & his team walked 30 minutes through NYC to reach their destination.
• 👮 NYPD officer apologized: “I’m sorry, Mister President… everything’s frozen right now.”
• 🇫🇷 Macron also announced at the UN that France officially recognizes the State of Palestine, becoming the 5th nation to do so recently.
• 🇺🇸 Trump returned to the UN for the first time since 2020, criticizing immigration policies & UN funding.

📍Premier Ford made the surprise confession during a news conference with ice cream in hand at Chapman’s HQ in Markdale, ON 🤝

Here’s what went down 🍨👇

🔹 $27 MILLION in provincial funding
🔹 Chapman’s building a new $200M, 175,000 sq ft factory
🔹 Will create 200 new jobs (total workforce: 1,000+ 🇨🇦)
🔹 Chapman’s uses only Canadian milk & cream 🐄🥛
🔹 Ford praised Chapman’s Yukon bars: “These are the best ice cream sandwiches anywhere… caramel, ice cream, chocolate & peanuts. Mmm-mmm.”

🍫 During the announcement, Ford pulled out a Yukon bar and said:

“I eat these things every night. Honestly, every night.”

🧤He even ended the event with:

“I can’t shake your hand. I’ve got ice cream all over it.” 🍦👊

Toronto MP Vince Gasparro confirmed the Belfast-based trio has been declared ineligible to enter the country, citing their alleged advocacy of political v*olence, hate, and support for banned organizations.

🔎 Key facts:
• The group was scheduled for 4 Canadian shows (2 in Toronto + 2 in Vancouver) this October.
• Gasparro stated Canada “will not tolerate” support for groups like Hezbollah & Hamas.
• Earlier this summer, Hungary also barred Kneecap, calling them a national security risk.

💰 Toronto may spend $400,000 on gender-affirming care benefits — but this is only for City of Toronto staff, not the general public. The proposal, under review by the General Government Committee, would expand staff benefits to cover services not included under OHIP.

✨ What’s already funded in Ontario?
• 🏥 OHIP: Covers medically necessary gender-affirming surgeries (some ge***al & chest procedures) if assessed, referred, & pre-approved by the Ministry of Health.
• 💊 Hormone Therapy: Visits with healthcare providers are covered. Under OHIP+, those under 25 get many HRT medications covered.
• 🎓 University Plans: Student health insurance often extends coverage to services beyond OHIP.
• 💵 Extra Costs: Cosmetic surgeries, laser hair removal, wigs, prosthetics & legal/admin fees often fall outside OHIP.
• Some unions (like CUPE 3906) provide funding.
• Student groups (like Trent Durham Student Association) offer grants.
